Have you tried these 3 methods for curbing appetite? They're super easy!
When on a diet, we all want to reduce appetite.
And even though we cannot suppress it completely (after all this is our surviving mechanism), we can curb it.
There are 3 ways of curbing your appetite:
Control your blood sugar
Up the fibre intake
Enjoy healthy fats and lean proteins together in a meal
Based on these techniques, we prepared 3 recipes for you – all to help you bring those food cravings down.
Low carb strawberry smoothie
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of flax seeds
1 tablespoon of almonds
2 tablespoons of low-fat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon of whey protein
2 dl of chilled green tea
5 frozen strawberries
Preparation:
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend for 30 seconds.
Why it works:
Green tea acts as an appetite suppressant if combined with other foods.
Because of a sufficient amount of fibre and low sugar content, this smoothie does not spike your blood sugar levels.
Because of combining protein and healthy fats, it satiates you for a longer time
SlimJOY Tip: Pairs perfectly with SlimJOY's Shake'n'Shape whey protein. Its high protein content makes it the perfect for filling you up for longer!
Cinnamon ice café latte
Ingredients:
2 dl of chilled coffee
Pinch of cinnamon
1 dl of low-fat milk
Fistful of ice
Preparation:
Prepare coffee in advance and chill it.
Combine chilled coffee, cinnamon and low-fat milk in a pitcher.
Pour the mixture in a tall glass, filled with ice.
Why it works:
Caffeine is one of the most powerful natural appetite suppressants.
Cinnamon controls your blood sugar levels thus minimizing food cravings.
SlimJOY Tip: Make it with Slimmiccino instead of regular coffee! A delicious coffee drink that reduces appetite and cravings for snacks!
Vegetable stock in a cup
Ingredients:
Carrots (red and yellow)
Parsley (leaves and root)
Onion
Garlic
Leek
Black peppercorn
Salt
At least 1 litre of water
Optional: chicken meat or beef bones
Preparation:
Put all of the ingredients in a pot and cook for an hour or two.
If you’re making beef stock, cook it for 3 hours to achieve the right taste.
Drain the soup through a colander and chill in the fridge.
Pour it into a cup and reheat in a microwave when you need to squash a craving.
Why it works:
Water is one of the most known appetite suppressants because it fills the stomach up – without calories. Vegetable stock acts the same, it just has a bit more flavour.
